Born in İstanbul in 1954, Kemal Akar is originally from Kastamonu. Akar, engaging in industrial activities since 1977, is still Chairperson of Board of Directors of Kalite - Akar Çelik A.Ş. Kemal Akar, following up world of business and economics closely, serves for industry of our country as Chairperson of Executive Board of İMES Sanayi Sitesi, Yalova - Deputy Chair of İMES OSB, Member of Board of Directors of İstanbul Chamber of Industry. Kemal Akar, undertaking responsibilities in many nongovernmental organizations is still Deputy Chair of Darülaceze Foundation, President of İMES Foundation and Executive Chair of Turkish Basketball Federation. Kemal Akar, graduated from Business Administration and Management department, is married with two children.
