SME SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The oldest and the largest Chamber of Industry in Turkey, Ystanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI), today, has approximately 13000 member companies of mainly Small and Medium Enterprises, within ICI, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Division of ICI operates to serve, develop and strengthen the Small and Medium Enterprises of member SME companies. 

Mission

SME Services Department of ICI aims to serve specifically to member SME's in pursuing sustainable competitiveness to cope globalization of businesses and challenging global marketplace along with ever changing needs of their customers.

Objectives

SME Services Department basically functions as the "knowledge service" and provides information and tries to create awareness on the subjects of innovation, quality, technology, training and finance through;

• Following and lobbying EU Framework Programmes and Turkish Industry Projects along with the Preparation of a "road map" for Turkish industry to maximize the benefits of the possible membership.
• Promoting "ISO-SME Management Approach" to encourage members to adopt the contemporary management approach
• AkademiISO, Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI) Vocational Training System
• Industrial Design Project, Implemented first in 2003, involving 130 firms and Ystanbul Technical University Industrial Design Faculty students.
