Born in Fatih İstanbul in 1958, Cemal Keleş graduated from Şeyhülislam Hayri Efendi Primary School, Gelenbevi Secondary School and Vefa High School.

Cemal Keleş, stepped into the world of business as the 2nd generation at the family company Surtaş Marble. He established Surmer Mining Company in 2002 and started running Vize Pembe Site in Kırklareli Vize, and established Planet Mining Compnay with joint venture in 2011 and started running Emprador Site in Antalya Akseki. Cemal Keleş is currently Vice Chairman of the Executive Board at Surtaş Mermer Fabrikası, Chairman of the Executive Board at Surmer Madencilik and Chairman of the Executive Board at Planet Madencilik. Keleş, being a Congress member of Fenerbahçe, is father of two children.
