Complete Support for Peace Spring

As Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI), we visit several cities of Türkiye in order to establish new collaborations and share out knowledge and experience with the business people who live outside of Istanbul. Our travel to Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep which we had already planned coincided with a highly meaningful period because of the operation “Peace Spring” organized to the north of Syria for the survival of our country.

You can read our contacts and negotiations in our two cities in the following pages. We shared with the public that we stand by our state and heroic soldiers with our prayers and wholeheartedly both in the meeting organized with the governors and mayors of two cities and through the council meetings together with our colleagues in the region who welcomed and hosted us warmly.

We made the “Peace Spring Joint statement” in 81 provinces of Türkiye simultaneously with the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye 1 day before our trip. As we emphasized in the joint statement we made together with the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, “Türkiye's efforts against the counterterrorism including ethnic and religious cleansing will pave the way for the return of Syrians who have been displaced because of the actions of PKK/PYD/YPG and DEAS in the criminal nature against the humanity; and contribute to the protection of integrity and solidarity of Syrian lands. Therefore, each operation initiated by Türkiye is supported by Syrian refugees and oppressed and sufferer local people. In the light of these facts, we invite the international arena to show their intentions clearly to have a joint stance against the counterterrorism and make the universal human rights prevailed in the region and support our country.

As we emphasized during our contacts in the region and in our Peace Spring Joint Statement, we have full confidence that this operation will be successful. As seen in Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Olive Branch, upon the success of this operation, life in the region will become normal again and the suffering of Syrians who had to leave their homeland will be put an end and it will pave the way for their return.

As Türkiye, we are paying a huge price all alone for years in order to put an end to this suffering. we have never been and will not be in favor of destroying and burning when trying to find a solution to such a huge problem. We are on the side of peace, tranquility and fellowship. May the mercy of Allah be upon our soldiers who were martyred while performing the sacred duty of bringing peace and peace to the region. May them rest in peace. I hope our injuries get well soon.

We hosted Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, the Governor of Istanbul, in our ISO Assembly meeting in September. We discussed the problems of our industry and the agenda of the business world in a sincere atmosphere with our Mr. Yerlikaya, the Governor who has made a difference for a more peaceful Istanbul with the steps that he has taken since the last year when he took the office. We strongly believe that these negotiations that we wish to continue in the upcoming working period will be especially beneficial for the business world.

Turkish Republic which has been developing and growing by taking root like a plane tree will be a century old in four years. I congratulate your October 29 Republic Day while I extend my gratitude to all the founders of the Republic, especially Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who saved and presented this paradise to us.
