Our Objective

“ICI SUSTAINABILITY PLATFORM”, has been established to carry out advisory studies for the purpose of devising strategy recommendations, developing co-operation and co-ordination with relevant institutions and organizations, producing outcomes to help transforming our industry and building synergies with stakeholder institutions for sustainable production with its inclusive structure, and contributing to the sustainability activities of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

Scope of Work

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI) defines "sustainability" as one of its areas of priority. In this direction, ICI has outlined its sustainability themes as Climate Change and Sustainable Industry, Resilience of the Industry, Circular Economy, Future of Work, Safe Working Environment and Sustainable Finance, and also addressed the Sustainability-Oriented Innovation and Digital Transformation in connection with all of these topics.

With the notion of sustainable manufacturing, ICI performs its works with an aim to support its member industrial enterprises to achieve high added value in the global value chain and to increase their "competitive sustainability" competencies. Within this context, ICI aims to create significant synergy by incorporating sustainability-related parties on the same platform.

Our Members

The Platform will convene under the presidency of an ICI Board Member and select Vice Presidents from among its members as needed. It consists of industry, public administration and local authority, finance, university, non-governmental organization representatives and consultants. Once the platform is created, it is possible that new members join the platform. Participation in the platform is voluntary.
