Portuguese Ambassador Virginia Pina Pays Courtesy Visit to Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Industry

Portuguese Ambassador Virginia Pina visited Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI). The visit, which took place at the ICI headquarters in the Odakule building and was a courtesy visit, also included Celeste Mota, Director of Portuguese Embassy’s Business Development Agency.

During the visit, which involved discussions on current economic developments both globally and in Turkey, there was an exchange of ideas on how to further enhance the trade potential between the two countries and improve the current situation. The conversation also touched upon the general state of industrial activities in Istanbul, as well as exchanging information about the industries in Turkey and Portugal. Assessments were made regarding in which areas the economic dynamism between the two countries could be further increased. In a friendly atmosphere, both sides agreed on the organization of events aimed at fostering economic and technological cooperation as well as investment opportunities between the industrialists of the two countries.
