First introduced as the "Top 100 Industrial Enterprises" in 1968 and frequently cited in academic research and theses, our annual study has evolved over time into “Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises” (ISO 500).

Published every year for more than half a century, each edition represents an important milestone for Turkish industry. Taken together, these reports form a valuable archive documenting the development of the Turkish economy.

The Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises study offers a unique and comprehensive look at the industrial sector. Accordingly, it focuses on industrial enterprises, with production-based sales serving as the main ranking criterion. In other words, the research covers the sales of goods manufactured directly by the enterprises.

Drawing significant domestic and international attention, ISO 500 makes an important contribution to efforts aimed at monitoring the development of Turkish industry and shaping its future direction.
