A Delegation from Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament Visits Istanbul Chamber of Industry

A Delegation from the Economy Commission of Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament visited Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

The Economic Commission of Germany’s Northern Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament will be conducting a visit in Türkiye on September 15-19, 2014. The delegation consists of representatives from the Commission, and aims to facilitate the development of more suitable policies in the State Parliament’s future dealings with Türkiye.

As part of its mission, the delegation visited Istanbul Chamber of Industry on Monday, September 15, 2014.

ICI Council Honorary Member and Turkish-German Chamber of Trade and Commerce Vice President Engin Koyuncu received the delegation and gave a dinner party in their honor, where the attendants were informed about the current economic and political situation in Türkiye, and shared knowledge and information on possible future projects in Türkiye.

The delegation was led by North Rhine-Westphalia State MP Georg Fortmeier, and included members of the Economy Commission, NRW International GM Almut Schmitz, NRW Invest GM Dr. Herbert Jakoby, NRW Invest Türkiye Director Adem Akkaya and Project Manager Neriman Özdemir.

The meeting was hosted by ICI Council Honorary Member and Turkish-German Chamber of Trade and Commerce Vice President Engin Koyuncu and ICI Secretary General Melek Us.
